Popular star Kriti Sanon believes Bollywood should take more risks by making big-budget action films with female actors in the lead.
Sharing her thoughts, she pointed out that films like Pathaan and Dhurandhar could also work with a female protagonist if the makers invested the same amount of money and effort.
Kriti says audiences are ready to watch women headline large-scale commercial entertainers, and producers should have the confidence to explore this space.
Her comments have sparked an interesting discussion about the lack of big-budget female-led action films in Hindi cinema. Recently, Alia Bhatt acted in a female-centric film titled Alpha, which ended as a box office failure.
