Patanjali cuts prices after GST rate reduction, toothpaste to ghee now cheape

New Delhi: Consumers will now have to pay less for Patanjali’s popular products, from Dant Kanti toothpaste to Kesh Kanti shampoo, following a reduction in Goods and Services Tax (GST) rates. Patanjali Foods Ltd announced a price cut across a wide range of items, passing on the benefit of the government’s recent tax relief directly to customers. The revised prices came into effect on September 22.

The reductions cover food items, beverages, health supplements, soaps, oils and beauty products, making many daily-use essentials more affordable.

Food products get cheaper

Patanjali’s soy-based offerings, Nutrela and Soyumm, are now Rs 10–Rs 20 cheaper per kilogram. Popular biscuits, including milk, Marie, coconut cookies and chocolate cream variants, have seen cuts of 50 paise to Rs 3. Patanjali noodles, including Twisty Tasty and Atta Noodles, are down by Rs 1.

Oral and hair care at lower prices

The flagship Dant Kanti toothpaste now costs Rs 106, down from Rs 120. Other variants like Dant Kanti Advanced and Oral Gel are also cheaper. In hair care, Kesh Kanti shampoos have seen reductions of Rs 11Rs 14, while Amla Hair Oil is down by about Rs 6.

Price relief on Ayurvedic and health products

Popular health supplements including Amla, Giloy, Karela-Jamun juices and Chyawanprash have become more affordable. A 1-kg pack of Chyawanprash now costs 337 instead of 360. Cow ghee has seen one of the biggest cuts, with a 900 ml pack priced at 731, down from 780.

Soaps and daily essentials

Neem and Aloe Vera soaps are now Rs 1–Rs 3 cheaper, with small packs priced as low as Rs 9.

‘Affordable purity’ promise

In a statement, Patanjali Foods said the move was aimed at ensuring that customers directly benefit from the GST rate cuts. The company reiterated its commitment to offering “pure, high-quality products at fair prices.”
