According to the information, on Sunday a passenger had reached Varanasi Cantt station to catch Begumpura Express. As soon as the train moved from the platform, the passenger tried to board the moving vehicle. During this time his foot slipped and he fell between the coach and the platform.
The passenger was about to go under the train, his life was saved due to the wisdom of the RPF soldiers.
According to eyewitnesses, the passenger lost balance and started sliding downwards. This scene of a few seconds was very scary and before the people present at the spot could understand anything, a major accident could have happened.
Sensing the situation, Head Constable Amit Pawar and Constable Vishram Meena posted on the platform pulled the passenger out safely without any delay. Due to his promptness, the passenger was saved from being hit by the train and his life could be saved.
