Punjabi singer and actor Parmish Verma marked his daughter Sadaa’s birthday with an emotional message, wishing her strength, independence and the courage to follow her own path.
Sharing a carousel of pictures on Instagram, including candid moments with Sadaa and photographs of her with her grandparents, Parmish described his daughter as the “greatest gift” Waheguru had placed in his hands.
“Happy Birthday, Sadaa. You are the greatest gift Waheguru ever placed in my hands and the greatest responsibility my heart will ever carry,” he wrote.
The singer, known for songs including ‘Gaal Ni Kadni’, expressed his wish for Sadaa to grow up with the confidence to build a life of her own and pursue her dreams.
“May you have the independence to conquer your own world, the wisdom to know your worth, and the courage to never settle for anything less than what your heart deserves,” he wrote.
Parmish also assured his daughter that his support would remain constant regardless of where life takes her.
“And no matter how big you grow, how far you travel, or how many mountains you climb, always know this: Your Dad has your back. Always,” he wrote, while seeking Waheguru’s blessings for her future.
“I love you more than words will ever be able to explain. Happy Birthday, my little girl,” he added.
The birthday message comes amid Parmish’s separation from his wife, Geet Grewal. The singer-actor recently confirmed their separation in a social media statement and said he is currently seeing someone.
His statement followed weeks of online speculation and trolling surrounding his alleged relationship with actress and model Harman Brar, along with claims that he had been unfaithful to Geet.
In his statement, Parmish addressed the criticism and said he had dealt with the consequences of his personal choices himself.
“Being a man makes you a convenient psychological scapegoat; blame the gender, simplify the story, and the mob gets to feel morally superior,” he wrote.
He also said that respecting his former wife and the woman currently in his life was part of what he considered responsible conduct, adding that he did not want bitterness to define his approach to the situation.
Parmish and Geet have a daughter, Sadaa, and the singer has continued to publicly express his affection for her through his social media posts.
