Mumbai: Actress Parineeti Chopra has strongly responded to online trolls and ‘self-proclaimed journalists’ for fabricating a controversy surrounding her relationship with co-star Jennifer Winget.
The actresses, who recently starred in the Netflix series ‘Shaque: Trust No One’, addressed speculation about an alleged feud that arose after a video from their success party went viral.
The controversy began when clips from a cake-cutting ceremony showed Jennifer standing behind Parineeti. Some social media users misinterpreted this as Parineeti intentionally ignoring or pushing her co-star, leading to widespread claims of tension between them. However, both stars quickly took to Instagram to clarify the situation.
Jennifer Winget explained that she simply moved back due to insufficient space on the stage, emphasizing her affection for Parineeti and urging people not to create negativity. “Pari has always been kind and loving towards me, and we have nothing but love for each other. We’re a team, and there’s enough room for all of us to shine without pulling each other down,” Jennifer stated.
Parineeti Chopra echoed these sentiments, revealing that she and Jennifer found the exaggerated interpretations amusing. She criticized those who manufacture controversies for attention. “Jenny and I have spent the last two days watching some rather ‘creative’ videos by self-proclaimed journalists. And guess what? The joke’s on you, because we’ve been laughing. Hysterically!” Parineeti wrote, praising Jennifer’s performance in ‘Shaque: Trust No One’ and calling her her ‘favourite girl’. The crime mystery thriller ‘Shaque: Trust No One’ premiered on Netflix on September 24, 2026.
