The first-born son of
and Sussanne Khan, Hrehaan Roshan, turned 20 on March 28 and his family posted several sweet and heartfelt birthday messages for ‘Ray’, as he is fondly known.
His grandfather, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan, also dropped a short special note for his oldest grandson. Both Hrithik and Sussanne got nostalgic with Ray’s childhood photos and videos as they made heartwarming birthday wishes for their eldest. While Sussanne called Hrehaan her greatest blessing, Hrithik wrote a lengthy note for his son as he entered adulthood. Check their wishes out below.
Sussanne Khan’s wishes for Hrehaan Roshan aka Ray
Taking to Instagram, Sussanne posted a Reel calling Ray her jaan and greatest blessing of life with photos of him from his childhood to now. Welcoming him to his 20s, she wrote, “My Hrehaan, my first born son.. there is no greater joy then to be your and Ridzo’s mom.. the Man you have grown into makes me feel so so proud and grateful. I love you madly.”
In the comments sections, Sussanne’s boyfriend Arslan Goni also wished Ray a happy birthday. Her sister Farha Khan Ali, friends Bhavana Pandey, Zoya Akhtar, Ekta Kapoor, Maheep Kapoor, Sonali Bendre Behl, and Neelam Kothari also had birthday wishes for Hrehaan. Hrithik’s girlfriend Saba Azad also dropped red heart emojis on the post. Hrithik and Sussanne separated in December 2013 and the couple’s divorce was finalised in November 2014. They have continued to co-parent both their sons since then.

Meanwhile, the War 2 actor Hrithik penned a note of his son in which he shared a gentle reminder of why it’s so important to be an adult. He advised Ray to be an adult who makes a life strong enough to be responsible, steady and wise. Hrithik also reminded Ray to experience top notch endless moments of unbridled laughter, moments of pure joy, smiles of quiet satisfaction and freedom to keep you flying.
The actor added that while the adult steers the boat, the child is the captain. He shared several moments from Ray’s childhood in his post to make him remember what his ‘captain’ always look like. These included vacation videos of them in the ocean, on a drive and also out for a special dinner.
Finally, grandfather Rakesh Roshan posted a photo of himself with Ray feeding some birthday cupcakes. He told Ray that 20 looked great on him. He also added, “May the coming years bring you closer to everything you are working towards. Love you.”
Hrehaan is enrolled at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. In 2023, Sussanne had revealed that he had received a scholarship merit award for his excellence.
