Abu Dhabi: Four children of a Malayali family who died in a car accident in Abu Dhabi were buried in Dubai. All four were laid to rest at Al Khasis Cemetery in Dubai. In view of the health of the children’s mother, Rukhsana, who is being treated at the hospital, the bodies were brought to Sheikh Shaboot Medical City so that she could see them. The people present there also cried after seeing the mother bid final farewell to her beloved children. All the local employees including Director Faisal had reached the hospital to console the family. Director Faisal hugged and consoled father Abdul Latif who came to see his children in a wheelchair.
Ten-year-old daughter Izza also kissed her four brothers for the last time along with her parents. All four were buried in the Khasis cemetery in the presence of a huge crowd. All four were laid to rest in adjacent graves. Hearing the news of the accident, Rukhsana’s mother Shahida, her sister and brother also reached home. Abdul Latif, who was undergoing treatment at Sheikh Shaboot Medical City in Abu Dhabi, reached Dubai and paid his last tribute to his children. Rukhsana, who was undergoing treatment after emergency surgery, bid last farewell to her children from the hospital in Abu Dhabi.
Accident happened while returning from Liva Fest
Five people, including four children and a domestic help, died when the car belonging to Kozhikode resident and businessman Abdul Latheef and his family met with an accident. While returning from Abu Dhabi, his Nissan Patrol car met with an accident. The deceased include Abdul Latheef’s children Ashas (14), Ammar (12), Ayash (5) and domestic help Bushra, a resident of Malappuram Chamravattam.
Later, a fourth child undergoing treatment, Azam bin Abdullatif, 7, also died the previous day. Abdul Latif, who works in real estate in Dubai, and his family were returning after seeing the exciting sights of Liwa Festival, when the accident happened. The accident happened between 4 and 5 in the morning. The uncontrolled vehicle collided with the road divider and broke into pieces. Meanwhile, the body of deceased domestic help Bushra has been sent to her home.
