Parashar Lake: Parashar Lake located in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh, which is not less than any paradise, is related to the Pandava period. It is believed that Bhima made this lake in honor of the sage Parashar. Bhima attacked the mountain with his elbow and built Parashar Lake. It is believed that this lake was built for the sage Parashar and he did penance here, that is why this lake was named Parashar Lake.

The temple of Parashar Lake is considered a holy place here. People come from far and wide to see it. In the room of this temple, the sage Pindi is seated. Parashar was the grandson of Rishi Vasistha and son of Muni Shakti. Rishi Vasistha is called the Guru of King Dasaratha. He was Trikaldarshi. Rishi Vasistha was among the seven Saptarshi who had the knowledge of truth by God together.
Every year Parashar lake has important festivals and fairs like Kashi, Rishi Panchami, Sauranahuni, in which the gods of other valleys come.
