Paracetamol is one of the most widely used medicines across the globe for fever and body pain. But imagine if you could skip the bitter pill and enjoy a scoop of ice cream instead. Sounds too good to be true? Well, a viral post on Instagram claims Dutch innovators have made this a reality with paracetamol-infused ice cream.
According to the viral claim, the Netherlands has developed an ice cream that contains the same therapeutic properties as paracetamol. The unusual creation supposedly helps relieve mild pain, headaches, and fever, all while tasting like your favourite dessert.
As soon as the image of the paracetamol-infused ice cream surfaced online, social media users went wild with reactions. Some were shocked, others amused and a few couldn’t wait to try it.

“Please tell me it is AI,” one comment read. Another joked, “So how many scoops is the correct amount to eat?” while someone else quipped, “Finally, medicine made fun!”
Another user added, “Got any more flavours? Maybe Ibuprofen or Nurofen?”
However, the viral claim has now been debunked. The image was traced back to a Dutch patisserie named Maddy in Nagelkerke, Netherlands. The so-called paracetamol ice cream was created in 2016 for a funfair exhibition as an art concept, not a real medicine.
Authorities confirmed it was never sold or consumed publicly due to health and safety concerns. The exhibit was meant to be a playful take on how people often look for easier ways to consume medicine.
