The grand alliance’s Voter Adhikar Yatra reached Purnia on Sunday. During this, Purnia MP Pappu Yadav gave a strong speech from the stage. The special thing is that in the presence of Rahul Gandhi, he described former Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav as a Jannayak.
It is now being speculated about his statement that the political distance between Tejashwi and Pappu Yadav is decreasing.
During the yatra, Pappu Yadav was given a place in the promotional chariot (jeep) with Tejashwi Yadav and Rahul Gandhi. Addressing the stage, he said – ‘Tejashwi Yadav is the name of the symbol, hatred and terror of revolution. Another name for Bihar’s hope and struggle is Tejashwi.
Pappu Yadav further praised Rahul Gandhi. He said – ‘As long as there are Rahul Gandhi in this country, till then there will be defeat of the enemies of humanity, hatred and democracy will be safe. The voice of farmers, youth, students, tribals, Dalits, minorities – is Rahul Gandhi.
Significantly, in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Pappu Yadav got neither ticket from Congress nor RJD. He then contested as an independent candidate and won. At that time RJD candidate Bima Bharti had to face defeat. There was political tension between Pappu and Tejashwi about this, but on Sunday, the distance between the two leaders on the stage of Voter Adhikar Yatra in Purnia was seen to be decreasing and mutual grievances were seen to end.
