Papmochani Ekadashi 2026 Date: Ekadashi date is considered to have special significance in Hindu religion. There are two Ekadashis in every month and worshiping Lord Vishnu and fasting on these days is said to have special results. On the day of Papmochani Ekadashi, it is considered auspicious to wake up early in the morning and worship Lord Vishnu after taking bath. Keep these things in mind while performing puja. First of all, clean the temple or place of worship at home. Then light a lamp in front of the idol or picture of Lord Vishnu and offer yellow flowers, basil leaves and fruits to him. On this day, anointing Lord Vishnu with Panchamrit or milk is also considered auspicious. Chant Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevaya mantra and then recite Vishnu Sahasranama or Shri Hari Aarti. Keep a fast throughout the day, meditate on God and donate to the needy people.

- Stay away from anger, lies and negative thoughts.

According to religious beliefs, by fasting on Papmochani Ekadashi, all the sins committed by a person knowingly or unknowingly are erased. It is said in mythology that due to the effect of this fast, one can get freedom from serious sins like Brahmahatya. Devotees who worship Lord Vishnu with full devotion attain mental peace and ultimately salvation.
