Ingredients for Papad Sabzi

For papad roll: 8 urad dal papad, 1 cup gram flour, 1/4 tsp carom seeds to taste, salt 1 tbsp, red chilli flakes ½ tsp, black pepper powder 1 tsp, garam masala powder 1 tbsp, ginger chilli paste, 1 tbsp kasoori methi

For masala paste: ½ tsp turmeric powder 1 tbsp kashmiri red chilli powder 1 tbsp emami mantra sabzi masala 1 tbsp coriander powder ½ tsp black pepper powder

For gravy: 2 tbsp oil, ½ tsp asafoetida, ½ tsp cumin, 1 tsp mustard seeds, 2 onions chopped, 2 green chillies, 2 ginger, 6-8 garlic cloves, 4 big tomatoes, ½ cup curd, salt to taste

Simple way to make papad vegetable

Master Chef Pankaj Bhadauria told a very simple way of making papad vegetable, through which you can easily make delicious papad vegetable and make your family happy on Holi.

  1. Dip the papad in water and keep it aside to soften. Do not soak for too long and then take out the papad and keep it aside.
  2. Take gram flour in a bowl, add the spices mentioned in it and prepare a thick paste by adding water little by little.
  3. Spread the paste on papad and roll it lightly.
  4. Fry the papad roll in medium hot oil and take it out.
  5. All you need to do to make the masala paste is mix all the spices with ½ cup of water and keep aside.

How to make papad vegetable gravy?

  1. For gravy, you should heat oil in a pan, then add asafoetida, cumin, mustard seeds and splutter.
  2. Add chopped onion and fry until light golden.
  3. Either finely chop ginger, garlic and green chillies or grind them finely and add them to the onion. You have to fry these ingredients on medium flame until the aroma comes out.
  4. Now add masala paste and mix well and fry until oil leaves.
  5. Add tomato puree and salt and cook for a while.
  6. Add 2 cups water and curd and mix. Now let it boil.
  7. Cut the papad roll into pieces and add to the gravy. Cook for 2 minutes. Delicious papad curry is ready.
