Panic in UP after Delhi blast: 7 people of Tablighi Jamaat from Lucknow detained, interrogation continues

Security has been increased in Lucknow after the Delhi blast. Police have detained 7 people of Tablighi Jamaat from Kaiserbagh bus stand. Not everyone had identity cards. So far 13 people have been confirmed dead in the Delhi blast.

After the horrific blast in Delhi, security agencies have become alert in the capital Lucknow. Police have detained seven people associated with Tablighi Jamaat from Kaiserbagh bus stand. Since all of them did not have identity cards, the police took them to the police station and started questioning them. Initial investigation has revealed that all these people had reached Lucknow from Hardoi.

All seven people had come to Lucknow from Hardoi.

According to police sources, all the seven detained persons are residents of Hardoi district. He had allegedly come to Lucknow to attend some program of Tablighi Jamaat. When the police asked them for identity cards, none could produce the document. On this, the police took him into custody and started interrogating him at Kaiserbagh police station.

The investigating agencies are also finding out whether these people have any connection with any suspicious network. Many police teams have now started investigating their contacts between Hardoi and Lucknow.

13 killed in Delhi blast, blast occurred from Haryana number car

So far, 13 people have been confirmed dead in the Delhi blast, while a dozen people are seriously injured. The explosion took place in a moving car, whose number is said to be HR 26 7674. In the preliminary investigation, the owner of the car has been identified as Nadeem, resident of Gurugram. The intensity of the blast was so high that about a dozen vehicles parked nearby caught fire. The echo of the blast was heard for several kilometers in the area, after which Delhi Police and NSG teams reached the spot.

High alert in Sitapur too, intensive investigation at railway-bus stations

After the Delhi blast, UP Police has issued an alert across the state. In Sitapur, under the leadership of SP Ankur Aggarwal, a checking campaign was conducted with dog squads on roadways and railway stations. Every incoming and outgoing vehicle is being checked and suspects are also being interrogated. SP said, “After the blast in Delhi, high alert is going on in the district. Checking campaign is being conducted in all the police station areas so that no suspicious activity can take place.”

Security agencies across the state on alert

UP ATS, STF and local police have become alert after the Delhi blast. The intelligence department is also on alert. Security has been increased at major religious places and public places. Police say that at present the interrogation of the people arrested from Lucknow is going on and the possibility of a big network cannot be ruled out.
