Ambedkar Nagar Kidnappings: Cases of kidnapping of 56 girls have been registered in different police stations of Ambedkar Nagar in Uttar Pradesh. People are scared due to so many cases in a month. 5 out of 56 cases are related to another community. Questions are being raised on law and order in Uttar Pradesh due to frequent kidnapping cases. Big police officials said that most of the cases are related to love affair. A total of 49 girls have been rescued and legal action has been taken by arresting the accused. Police said 40 of the 49 girls rescued are minors.
Police have confirmed that within a month, a total of 56 cases have been registered in different police stations of Ambedkar Nagar. It is reported that some families are hesitant to file a complaint with the police for fear of slander. In view of the increasing cases of kidnapping, people are questioning the government on law and order. A new debate has started on social media, some people have expressed suspicion of having love jihad behind these cases. These cases are being posted by linking it to conversion. People are asking the police what she is doing. The police also initiate action and investigate as soon as the case is registered.

The SP of Ambedkar Nagar said that in three cases the girl was a Hindu and accused Muslim, and all three have been rescued. In two cases, accused Hindus and girls were Muslims, and legal action has been taken against the accused. Police has made it clear that no case of involvement of an organized gang in this case has come to light. Hindu leaders have expressed anger on the matter and alleged that the game of conversion is going on in the district. Arvind Pandey, head of Awadh province of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, has expressed concern that love jihad is spreading rapidly in the district.
