According to the calendar, Panchak in the month of February is starting from the second day of the festival of Mahashivratri i.e. 16th February. This Panchak will last till 21st February. On Monday, 16th February, Panchak is starting at 8:52 pm. It will end at 7:58 pm on 21 February 2026.

Do not do these things during Panchak

Collecting Wood: Do not collect wood or grass during Panchak. These tasks are considered inauspicious in Panchak. By doing these things there is fear of fire.

Roofing the house: If you are building a house, then keep in mind that do not get the roof installed during Panchak. According to beliefs, this can increase troubles in the house and lead to loss of money.

Making a cot or bed: It is inauspicious to buy or weave a new bed or cot during the Panchak period. This can create obstacles in happiness and peace.

Southward journey: South direction is considered to be the direction of Yamraj, the god of death. Do not travel in this direction during Panchak. Because it can cause troubles.

Precautions in funeral:Death during Panchak is considered very worrying. It is believed that during Panchak, along with the deceased person, five members of the family or clan are in danger of suffering like death, hence in case of death during Panchak, five effigies are made and burnt along with the dead body for peace.
