Salman Khan stuck in controversies
Salman Khan is again embroiled in a legal dispute, this time the matter is related to Rajshree Pan Masala promoted by him. Senior BJP leader and Rajasthan High Court lawyer Mohan Singh Honey has filed a complaint against both Salman and the company. They allege that the advertisement of this pan masala has made false claims and it misleads the customers.
What is the reason for the dispute?
Rajasthan High Court lawyer Mohan Singh Honey says that Rajshree Pan Masala claims to contain ‘saffron’. Although according to him this is impossible. The price of saffron is around Rs 4 lakh per kg. In such a situation, it is impossible to get real saffron in a packet of Rs 5. Honey argues that such advertisements give a false message to the people and especially attract the youth towards pan masala.
High Court lawyer told ANI, ‘Salman Khan is a role model for millions of youth. They should not promote such products. Pan masala is a major cause of oral cancer, and its promotion is harmful for the health of the youth.
Kota Consumer Court issued notice
On the complaint of Mohan Singh Honey, Kota Consumer Court has sent notice to both Salman Khan and the company. The court has sought answers from both and the next hearing has been fixed for November 27.
Not just Salman, other stars also involved
Salman Khan is not alone. Stars like Ajay Devgan, Shahrukh Khan and Tiger Shroff have also appeared in pan masala advertisements. Everyone has made claims about saffron and other properties in their products.
Mohan Singh Honey said that in many countries celebrities do not promote things like soft drinks or tobacco, but in India stars are promoting harmful products like pan masala. He says that this is a wrong message for the youth and it can have a serious impact on their health.
Common people are also showing displeasure
A consumer in Kota has even sent a notice. They say that this advertisement is false and it directly deceives the consumers. People are also raising questions on this issue on social media and expressing concern about the promotion of Salman Khan.

The court has sent the notice and now Salman Khan and Rajshree Pan Masala will have to present their side in the court. During the next hearing it will be clear what decision the court takes in this matter. But this entire controversy has once again raised the question whether the stars are using their influence properly or the power of their endorsements is proving harmful for the consumers.
