A travel YouTuber’s video is creating a lot of buzz on social media, in which she is criticizing the cleanliness and lifestyle of London. This video posted on Instagram shows footage of public places and transport. YouTuber Mehrama says that people in Pakistan and India often praise life in London, especially when relatives living abroad exaggerate about their daily life. But his sharp remarks show that the reality of London’s streets and public transport is far different from that dazzling image.
The video begins with the vlogger showing off the place while saying “This is London, baby”. She then warns viewers that some scenes may be spoilers. His voice-over states that the film focuses on “the common sights of the city”. In the video, the YouTuber can be seen traveling in the Tube (London Metro), where people are covering their faces (probably due to the strong smell).

Referring to the garbage and dirty environment in some public places, the YouTuber claimed that this is why “there is a strange smell everywhere in London.” He also said that British viewers would probably question whether this actually happens.
Comparing the scenes seen in the video to those of South Asia, the YouTuber jokingly asked whether the viewers thought that the video was not recorded in London but near Bhati Gate in Lahore. He claims such scenes are “very common” at many stations and public places. The video further showed streets filled with Indian “desi” clothing shops, to which the vlogger said, “There’s nothing left in London now.”
