New Delhi. After the horrific car blast near the Red Fort in Delhi, there has been a stir not only in India but in the entire world. Hours after the blast, Pakistan increased patrolling of its fighter jets on the Rajasthan border, while countries like Britain, America and France have issued advisories to their citizens to be cautious while traveling to India. Does Pakistan have some other intention after Delhi blast?
Immediately after the blast, the chiefs of Pakistan’s three armies called an emergency meeting in Islamabad. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, NSA and DG ISI kept reviewing the situation till late night. Pakistan Air Force has intensified patrolling along the Rajasthan border. Experts say that this activity of Pakistan may not only be a “security exercise” but also a “political signal”. Is this step an attempt to create pressure in view of India’s internal situation? Is there a Faridabad and Pulwama connection behind the Delhi blasts?
Investigation revealed that the Hyundai i20 car in which the blast took place, earlier belonged to a person named Salman who had sold it to Nadeem. Later this car reached Pulwama resident Tariq through ‘Royal Car Zone’ dealer of Faridabad. The investigating agencies are alert because of Tariq’s connection with Pulwama. Remember, Pulwama is the same place where a terrorist attack on a CRPF convoy took place in 2019. Initial investigation by Delhi Police has also indicated that this blast may be linked to the terrorist module caught a few days ago in Faridabad, in which 2900 kg of explosive chemical was recovered.
Was it a hasty suicide attack?
According to sources, after the arrest of Dr. Muzammil Shakeel and Dr. Adil Rather, arrested from Faridabad, their associates hastily carried out the Delhi blast. Home Minister Amit Shah said that “a high-intensity blast took place in the rear of an i20 car.”
Has India averted a major terrorist conspiracy?
The investigating agencies are now also working on this angle whether this blast was a part of a series attack, which was foiled by the swift action of Indian security agencies. Both NIA and Special Cell of Delhi Police are investigating this case. Teams of Haryana Police, IB and RAW are also investigating digital trails related to this case.
The atmosphere around the Red Fort is still tense
After the blast, Delhi Police has sealed the entire Red Fort area. Red Fort metro station was closed and NSG teams conducted a search operation at the spot. Local people said that “the explosion was so powerful that a ball of fire was seen in the sky and the ground shook.” Delhi blast has once again shocked the country and now the threads of investigation are going through Faridabad to Pulwama and Pakistan. Pakistan’s sudden military movements and foreign advisories have made this entire matter more mysterious.
