Pakistan will host Sri Lanka in a three-match T20I series, with the first match set to take place at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Friday, October 9. All three matches will be played at the same venue, with the second game scheduled for October 11 and the third on October 13.
Pakistan will be led by Sahibzada Farhan, who has been given the T20I captaincy after leading the team at the Asian Games. Farhan had a strong run in the 2026 T20 World Cup and will be expected to lead from the front with both the bat and as captain.
Pakistan also have experienced players such as Fakhar Zaman, Saim Ayub, Shadab Khan and Naseem Shah in the squad. Their presence will give the hosts a good mix of batting and bowling options.
Sri Lanka, meanwhile, will be led by Kusal Mendis. The wicketkeeper-batter was in good form during the team’s recent tour of England and will be one of the key players for the visitors. Sri Lanka will hope he can deliver another strong performance against Pakistan.
Rawalpindi is known for its batting-friendly conditions, so fans could see plenty of runs during the series.
