Islamabad. There was a massive boiler explosion in a glue manufacturing factory in Faisalabad city of Punjab province of Pakistan on Friday morning. At least 15 workers died and seven others were seriously injured in the blast. The explosion was so powerful that the factory building and nearby houses were also badly damaged.

The local administration said that the factory manager was arrested immediately after the blast, while the factory owner fled from the incident site. Immediately after the blast, fire spread in the factory. Local people left their homes and shops out of fear. The administration immediately started relief and rescue operations. Local administrator Raja Jahangir said all the injured workers have been admitted to nearby hospitals, and Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif directed officials to provide the highest medical care to the injured.
