While 300 names suspects have not been identified. The case has been registered under Section 7 of the Anti -Terrorism Act, 1997 and several other sections of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC). Tehreek-e-Labbac led Hafiz Rafaqat on Pakistan’s ticket led the crowd, who had rods and bricks in their hands. The crowd gathered outside the place of worship and started throwing stones at it. The protesting people also attacked fiercely. During this time many people were injured. Taking advantage of the rallies of Swatantraka Day, hate speeches were given. At the same time violence against Ahmadis was instigated. 275-In Kartarpur, he attacked two places of worship of Ahmadis, dropped the towers and set them on fire. Dawn said that these structures were present since 1984.

Amidst all this, Ahmadiyya community spokesperson Aamir Mahmood strongly condemned the attack. He said, “This is not the freedom that the founders of Pakistan had imagined. Until those who do such acts, intolerance will continue to increase. The authorities should take immediate action to protect all citizens.” He has demanded strict punishment for criminals in this case. In addition, earlier, Pakistan’s Human Rights Commission (HRCP) had condemned the derogatory comments of a cleric targeting places of non-Muslim communities including Christians.
