Babar Azam vs USA: Pakistan team played its second match in T20 World Cup 2026 against USA team. In this match played at the Sinhalese Sports Club ground in Colombo, Pakistan batted first and scored a strong score of 190 runs. During this, Pakistan’s star batsman Babar Azam played an important innings. His strike rate has been under question for some time now, but in this match he did a special feat by batting amazingly.
Babar Azam’s fastest innings
In this match, Babar Azam played his fastest innings so far in the T20 World Cup. Against America, Babar scored 46 runs in just 32 balls, which included 4 fours and 1 six. Initially Babar’s strike rate was low, but later he gained momentum, due to which his strike rate reached 143.75. Before this, Babar Azam had never scored runs at this strike rate in the T20 World Cup. Earlier, Babar’s fastest innings came with a strike rate of 142.85, which he played against Namibia in 2021.
Sahibzada Farhan also showed stormy style
In this match, Sahibzada Farhan also played an amazing inning for Pakistan. He scored 73 runs facing 41 balls. During this, he hit 6 fours and 5 sixes, due to which Pakistan team was successful in putting a big score on the board. Shadab Khan also played an important inning and scored 30 runs in just 12 balls, which included 4 fours and 1 six. Whereas, Sam Ayub contributed 19 runs.
Shadley Van Schalkwyk wreaked havoc again
On the other hand, Shadley Van Schalkwyk once again bowled brilliantly for the American team. He took 4 wickets for 25 runs in 4 overs. The special thing is that Shadley Van Schalkwyk had also taken 4 wickets in the match played against India. That means he has taken 8 wickets in just 2 matches.
