In the second ODI, the incident related to Salman Agha’s run out occurred in the 39th over of Pakistan’s innings. Rizwan played the fourth ball of this over by Bangladeshi bowler Mehdi Hasan with light hands straight towards the bowler. Meanwhile, Salman Aga, standing at the non-striker end, came out of the crease. Not only this, when the ball started coming towards the bowler after hitting Rizwan’s bat, it was Salman Agha who stopped it before Mehdi Hasan. He also started picking up the ball and giving it to the bowler. That too while staying out of the crease. But, Mehdi Hasan’s agility overpowered Salman Aga here. He quickly picked up the ball and blew the bails of Salman Agha standing outside the crease of the non-striker’s end.
Thrown helmet and gloves in anger
After blowing the bells of Mehdi Hassan, Salman Aga started arguing with him. Salman Agha felt that he was not out. But when the matter reached the third umpire’s court, the result there too was against Salman Aga. Salman Agha did not look happy with the umpire’s decision. He became furious with anger and started removing his helmet and gloves and throwing them on the ground.

Will Salman Aga be punished?
Under the rules of cricket, going against the umpire’s decision, showing anger, throwing helmet and gloves is a punishable offense. Under the ICC Code of Conduct, in such a case the player is found guilty of Level 1 or Level 2. The kind of action that Salman Agha has done is expected to be lodged by the match referee, field umpire and third umpire. Now it remains to be seen what level of offense the match referee considers it to be. Salman Aga can be punished accordingly. Generally in such cases, demerit points are imposed on the player along with deduction in match fee.
When Salman Agha was run out, he was playing after scoring 64 runs on 62 balls. He hit 7 fours and 2 sixes in his innings.
