Pahalgam Terror Attack Sparks Outrage: FWICE Demands Complete Ban on Pakistani Artists

The senseless terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 22 that killed 26 innocent civilians has shocked the country to its core. In the midst of mounting anger and sadness, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has come down strong, urging a total ban on Pakistani artistes and technicians operating in India.

Ashok Dubey, General Secretary of FWICE, denounced the attack and said, “For us, the nation comes first. It is very shameful that our tourists have been attacked. We have released a press release stating in clear words that if anybody works with Pakistani artists or technicians, drastic action will be taken against them.”

Strict Warnings and Appeals to the Government
FWICE has written official letters to all its affiliate bodies, reaffirming the directive. The federation has also written to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, urging any Indian cooperating with Pakistani artists should be booked on charges of treason. Dubey stressed, “We have requested the ministry to issue a notification to discourage any such association in the future.”
