Oval Test, Day 4: Play called off due to rain as match hangs in balance

New Delhi: The Play was called off on Day 4 of the fifth Test between India and England at the Oval on Sunday. The hosts were 339 for 6 at the time interruption, needing 35 runs to win the final Test and the five-match series.

The Men in Blue need just three wickets to win the Test and level the series at 2-2. All-rounder Chris Woakes has already been ruled out of the match due to injury. However, he was seen dressed up with his hand in a sling.

Jamie Smith and Jamie Overton were batting in the middle at 2 and 0 respectively when the umpires checked the light meter and decided the halt the proceedings, but the match was called as there was heavy downpour at the Oval.
