On Constitution Day, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath read out the oath of the Preamble at Lok Bhavan. The program emphasized on duties, resolve for a developed India and respect for the Constitution. CM said that democracy becomes stronger only by performing duties.

On the occasion of Constitution Day, when Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath read out the oath of the Preamble along with thousands of people in the auditorium of Lok Bhavan, the soul of the Indian Constitution was heard resonating in the atmosphere. This message, based on the balance of duties and rights, was not just a function but a call to awaken civic consciousness.

Oath reading of the Preamble of the Constitution, guests paid tribute

On the occasion of Constitution Day, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conducted a collective oath reading of the Preamble of the Constitution at Lok Bhavan. The program started with floral tributes to the portraits of Bharat Mata and Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. During this time a short film based on the making of the Constitution was also screened. CM Yogi also honored the participants who performed excellently in various competitions.

Rights are not possible without duty: CM Yogi

The Chief Minister said that it is easy to talk about rights, but democracy becomes stronger when the citizen performs his duties honestly. He said that the countrymen are forgetting the real value of independence because most of the people have not seen the pain and struggle of the freedom struggle. Yogi clearly said that the habit of performing one’s duty ensures the protection of rights, otherwise democracy starts weakening.

‘Panchprana’ is necessary for a developed and self-reliant India

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath mentioned the pledge of ‘Developed India’ given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence. He said that by the time the country celebrates 100 years of independence in 2047, every citizen will have to join Panchpran to make India self-reliant and empowered in every field. The Chief Minister said that we can achieve this goal only by leaving the mentality of slavery, respecting the army and uniformed forces, and increasing unity and equality in the society.

It is not fair to blame the entire system for one person’s mistake.

In the program, CM Yogi said that if a person commits a mistake, he should be given an opportunity to improve, and not put the entire system in the dock. He cautioned that people often try to widen the gap of social animosity for personal selfishness, which weakens the society. He said that unity, heritage and sense of duty only makes India strong.

Insulting the Constitution is an insult to freedom fighters

CM Yogi described respect for the Constitution as the responsibility of every citizen. He said that the Constitution of India gives the right to vote without discrimination from the very first day and takes historic steps for the upliftment of the weaker sections of the society. He said that disrespecting the Constitution is an insult to Baba Saheb Ambedkar, freedom fighters and crores of citizens who strengthened the democratic structure of the country.

There should be a copy of the Constitution in every home

The Chief Minister suggested that every family in the country should have a copy of the Constitution and the reading of the Preamble should be regular. He said that the various images included in the Constitution are symbols of Indian heritage, spirituality and cultural pride, which are important to understand.

More than 98 lakh people sent suggestions, big step towards developed Uttar Pradesh

CM Yogi said that developed Uttar Pradesh is necessary to fulfill the vision of developed India. For this, the state government had released a portal for citizens to give suggestions, on which more than 98 lakh suggestions have been received so far. The Chief Minister said that participation on such a large scale proves that every section of the society wants to connect with the system and contribute to building a better future.

From self-reliant village to self-reliant India

CM said that self-reliance starts from village and ward level. If Panchayats become self-reliant, then the district, then the state and ultimately the whole of India will be self-reliant. This is the strongest foundation to move towards a developed India.

Many public representatives and ministers were present in the program

Many dignitaries including Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, Brajesh Pathak, and Cabinet Ministers Suresh Khanna, Surya Pratap Shahi, Dara Singh Chauhan were present on the occasion. Besides, Mayor Sushma Kharkwal and Scheduled Caste-Tribe Commission Chairman Baijnath Rawat also attended the ceremony.
