“Security is very tight tonight,” O’Brien joked early in the show. “There’s concerns about attacks from the ballet and opera communities.” He then aimed the next line directly at Chalamet, who was seated among the nominees and guests. With perfect timing, the host added, “They’re just mad you left out jazz.” The camera quickly cut to Chalamet, who appeared amused by the playful jab and laughed along with the crowd.
