Operation Trashi-I: Two terrorists killed in encounter in J&K’s Kishtwar

New Delhi: Two terrorists were killed in a joint counter-terror operation launched by security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar region under Operation Trashi-I, the Army’s White Knight Corps said on Sunday.

According to a statement posted on social media platform X by the White Knight Corps, the operation was launched following credible intelligence inputs collated from the Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP), Intelligence Bureau (IB) and the Army’s own sources.

Joint operation in the Kishtwar region

The Army said troops of Counter Insurgency Force (CIF) Delta under the White Knight Corps, in close coordination with J&K Police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), re-engaged the terrorists at around 11 am in challenging terrain after earlier establishing contact.

“Displaying tactical precision, seamless synergy and resolute aggression, troops dominated the encounter site wherein two terrorists have been successfully neutralised,” the Corps said.

‘The hunt continues’

Security forces also recovered war-like stores from the encounter site, including two AK-47 rifles.

The Army said operations in the area are continuing. “The hunt continues — those who seek to disturb peace will find no sanctuary,” the White Knight Corps stated.
