The Indian Air Force (IAF) said that its air defence and surveillance operations are still in progress while the situation along the India-Pakistan border returns to normal after Saturday’s ceasefire.
On Sunday, the IAF declared that it had completed all of the tasks entrusted to it under Operation Sindoor with “precision and professionalism,” adding that all actions were conducted in a methodical and covert way in line with national goals.
“Since the operations are still ongoing, a detailed briefing will be conducted in due course,” the IAF stated in a post on X. Additionally, the force cautioned the public against speculating and disseminating unconfirmed information.

A day after the United States announced that it had mediated a peace deal between India and Pakistan, the IAF released this update. The ceasefire, however, was short-lived as Pakistan soon resumed heavy firing along the International Border in Srinagar and the Rajouri sector. Residents of the impacted border communities returned to their regular daily routines on Sunday after the brief flare-up subsided and there were no more reports of gunfire or missile activity.
