Ramnagar: A sensational case of luring Congress MLAs of Odisha with Rs 5 crore and threatening to kill them has come to light. The incident took place at Wonderla Resort in Bidadi near Bengaluru. A case has been registered against four people in this matter at Bidadi Police Station. Odisha Congress Legislature Party deputy leader Ashok Kumar Das has filed this complaint. Based on his complaint, the police have registered a case against four people named Birendra Prasad, Suresh, Ajit Kumar Sahu and Simachal Mohkud and started investigation.

Ashok Kumar Das said in his complaint, “Rajya Sabha elections are to be held in Odisha on March 16. The BJP government has fielded an additional candidate and they are trying to kidnap Congress MLAs. Therefore, we 8 Congress MLAs came to Bengaluru on March 12 for safety and are staying at Wonderla Resort near Bidadi.”

According to the complaint, “On the morning of March 15, four unidentified persons approached some Congress MLAs. They tried to bribe each MLA with Rs 5 crore to vote in favor of the BJP. But when our MLAs rejected their offer, they threatened to kill them if they returned to Odisha.”
