Openbank Aspar is once again gearing up for the MotoE World Championship and officially presented its team for the 2024 season on Thursday.
Last year’s runner-up, Jordi Torres, remains with the team, while Kevin Zannoni joins as his new teammate.
In the previous season, Aspar fought for the championship until the end with Torres, but the Spaniard was unable to secure his third title after his victories in 2020 and 2021. As for Zannoni, he will embark on his fourth season, with his career highlights including two podium finishes achieved last year.
In a press release, Aspar’s CEO, Jorge Martínez Aspar, stated: ‘The Aspar Team project in the MotoE World Championship could not be understood without the support of Openbank. Together we have worked hard over the years, together we have touched the sky with victories and podiums and together we were on the verge of winning the title in 2023. Today we open a sixth season of collaboration in which we will continue to fight as we have done so far to repay the trust that Openbank has placed in us with great results’.
