After recently launching the OnePlus 15 in India, the Chinese smartphone-maker, OnePlus, is preparing to close out the year with another major release, this time with the OnePlus 15R, which is set to make its India debut on 17 December 2025. The device will arrive alongside the new OnePlus Pad Go 2 and the brand has already dropped enough hints to get fans genuinely excited.

OnePlus 15R Specifications
OnePlus has gone loud and clear about one thing already: the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 will power the 15R, it will be the first smartphone globally to launch with Qualcomm’s newest flagship chip. According to OnePlus, both companies spent nearly two years fine-tuning the platform for better speed and efficiency. The 15R is expected to feature a 6.83-inch AMOLED screen with a crisp Full-HD+ resolution. OnePlus has confirmed a 165Hz refresh rate, putting it in the same league as the OnePlus 15.
OnePlus has revealed that the 15R will come with a 7400 mAh battery, which is not just larger than last year’s model but also bigger than the one found in the flagship OnePlus 15 and the device is also expected to support 80W fast charging.
While the tech giant hasn’t officially confirmed the camera sensors, multiple reports suggest a 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS paired with an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens and on the front, the phone may get a 32-megapixel selfie camera.
The handset will reportedly carry IP66, IP68, IP69 and even IP69K ratings, offering protection against dust, water immersion and high-pressure water jets. For colour choices, the smartphone is expected to come in Charcoal Black and Minty Green.

The OnePlus 15R will be officially unveiled on December 17, 2025, at a launch event in Bengaluru, which will also be streamed globally. As for the price, early rumours suggest the device could land around Rs 45,999 in India, though we’ll know the official number soon.
