These days, IAS officer Avi Prasad is in the headlines for his personal life in the administrative corridors of Madhya Pradesh. Avi Prasad recently got married for the third time with 2017 batch IAS officer Ankita Dhakre.
This marriage took place on 11 February in a very simple ceremony in Kuno National Park. Ankita Dhakre is currently posted as Deputy Secretary in the State Ministry. Ever since the pictures of Avi Prasad’s wedding appeared on social media, people have been giving different types of reactions to them. Some people are considering it as his personal decision while some are discussing his frequently changing marital relationships.
The last two wives are also collectors of the district.
The special thing about Avi Prasad’s married life is that his first two wives are also senior officers of the Indian Administrative Service. His first marriage was with his preparatory days partner Riju Bafna, who is currently the collector of Shajapur district. After divorce by mutual consent, he got married for the second time to 2016 batch IAS Misha Singh who is currently serving as Ratlam Collector. His relationship with Misha Singh also lasted only for about four years and then both of them separated. All three wives of Avi Prasad hold high positions in the administration, due to which this matter has become a topic of even more discussion.
Inherited politics and brilliant career
Avi Prasad, resident of Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh, has had a very impressive administrative career. He had secured 13th rank in the country in the UPSC examination of 2014, which can be gauged from his ability. Avi Prasad has inherited the understanding of governance and administration as his grandfather Tambeshwar Prasad had been a minister in the government of Chaudhary Charan Singh. Before becoming IAS, he was also selected for IPS but he chose administrative service only. Those close to him believe that due to being in the political environment since childhood, leadership qualities are ingrained in him.
Recognition of flamboyant officer and strict working style
Apart from personal life, Avi Prasad is also known for his strict and active working style. Presently he is holding the responsibility of CEO of Madhya Pradesh Employment Guarantee Council. Earlier, the campaign he had launched against malnutrition while being the Collector of Katni was praised in the entire state. They are counted among the officials who go to the ground level and review the plans and take immediate decisions. He has also been honored many times for administrative innovations. At present, he himself has not issued any public statement regarding his third marriage.
