Agartala: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday offered prayers at the ‘Mata Tripura Sundari Temple’ in Matabari in the border state. He also visited an exhibition in the temple premises. PM Modi visited the temple on the first day of Navratri. Prime Minister Modi soon inaugurated the development works of ‘Mata Tripura Sundari Temple Complex’ at Matabari under the pilgrim rejuvenation and spiritual heritage promotion campaign (Prasad) scheme. It is one of the 51 ancient Shaktipeeths located in Udaipur city of Gomti district of Tripura.

The project includes changes in the temple premises, new routes, renewed entrances and fences, drainage arrangements, and a new three -storey complex, including stalls, meditation rooms, rooms for guests and office rooms. It will play an important role in promoting tourism, creating employment and business opportunities and overall socio-economic development of the region.

Prime Minister Modi founded and inaugurated several development projects worth more than Rs 5,100 crore in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh. He laid the foundation stone for two major hydroelectric projects worth more than Rs 3,700 crore in Itanagar. Heo Hydro Electric Project (240 MW) and Tato-I Hydro Electric Project (186 MW) will be developed in Siom sub-basin in Arunachal Pradesh.

PM Modi also laid the foundation stone of a state -of -the -art convention center in Tawang. Located at an altitude of more than 9,820 feet in the border district of Tawang, this center will serve as a historical feature for hosting national and international conferences, cultural festivals and exhibitions.

The Prime Minister also started several major infrastructure projects of more than Rs 1,290 crore, which are connected from many areas such as connectivity, health, fire security, working women hostels. These initiatives are expected to promote economic activities, improve the quality of life and increase connectivity in the region.
