In the Bhaidooj program, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that this festival is a symbol of brother-sister love and family values. He announced increase in the amount of Ladli Brahmin Yojana from ₹1250 to ₹1500 per month and shared plans for empowerment of sisters.
Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Bhaidooj is the soul of Indian culture, which is a symbol of love and mutual affection between brother and sister. This festival strengthens family life values and social unity. He said that Bhaidooj is not only a celebration of love but also a symbol of women’s respect and Indian tradition. The CM was addressing the sisters at the Bhatri Dwitiya (Yam Dwitiya) program organized at the Chief Minister’s residence complex on Thursday.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav congratulated the sisters, shared government schemes
In the program, the Chief Minister had a heartfelt conversation with the sisters and wished them a happy Bhaidooj. He said, “I am fortunate that I have got more than 1 crore 26 lakh beloved sisters.” He told that now all the beloved sisters will get ₹ 1500 every month, and there is no shortage for the sisters in the government treasury. He said that Ladli Brahmin Yojana has added new light and happiness in the lives of sisters.
Ladli Bahana scheme became the power of sisters
The Chief Minister said that till now about ₹ 45,000 crore has been given to the sisters in 29 installments. He said, “The smile of our sisters is the real capital of Madhya Pradesh.” In the programme, the Chief Minister showered flowers on the sisters, got them done with tilak, gave gifts and expressed his affection by feeding them sweets. The sisters enlivened the brother-sister love with Nimari folk songs and dance.
‘Blessings of sisters are the strength of the government’- CM Mohan Yadav
Dr. Yadav said that it is only with the blessings of the sisters that the government is able to work without fear. He said that today the Chief Minister’s residence has become the house (Maika) of sisters. Referring to the brave women like Rani Durgavati, Rani Laxmibai and Rani Avanti Bai, he said that their bravery has increased the pride of the country.
Religious importance of Bhaidooj and new plans for sisters
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that the festival of Bhaidooj is associated with Lord Shri Krishna and his sister Subhadra. He said that the state government has made an employment policy, under which the sisters working in the industry will be given additional assistance of ₹ 5,000 and 2% rebate on setting up the industry. Sisters are also being given special exemption in house, shop and land registry.
Empowering sisters under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi
The Chief Minister said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the sisters of the state are getting the benefit of free housing and economic empowerment. He said that the Chief Minister’s residence will always be open to the sisters and it is their own maternal home.
New phase of Ladli Brahmin Yojana, now ₹ 1500 every month
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that the Ladli Brahmin Yojana, started in June 2023, has brought light to the lives of crores of sisters. Now the scheme amount is being increased from ₹1250 to ₹1500 per month. He told that the sisters have set an example of self-reliance by starting sewing machines, photocopy machines, dairy and small industries with this amount.
Madhya Pradesh became an example of women empowerment
Dr. Yadav said that through Ladli Lakshmi Yojana, the daughters of the state are becoming millionaires as soon as they are born. More than 51 lakh daughters have benefited from this scheme. He said that schemes like Kanya Vivah/Nikah Yojana, Janani Suraksha Yojana, Matru Vandana Yojana and Devi Ahilya Nari Empowerment Mission have given new strength to women.
Sisters expressed gratitude
In the program, beneficiaries of Ladli Brahmin Yojana, Pinky Jain, Sangeeta and Rohini expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister. The sisters said the scheme has helped them become self-reliant and start businesses.
Statement of Women Minister Nirmala Bhuria and Krishna Gaur
Women and Child Development Minister Ms. Nirmala Bhuria said that rural sisters are now running their businesses through the scheme. Minister of State Krishna Gaur said that the Chief Minister’s residence has become the maternal home of the sisters and the Chief Minister stands as a shield for the sisters at every step. Rajya Sabha MP Maya Narolia said that from next month the sisters will get ₹ 1500 per month.
Describing Bhaidooj as a celebration of life of Indian culture, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav reiterated the government’s commitment to respect, safety and empowerment of women. He said that the happiness and safety of the sisters is the real goal of the government.
