The film “Homebound” has been selected as India’s official entry for the 98th Academy Award i.e. Oscar 2026. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav congratulated the entire team of the film on this historic occasion. Story woven in Bhopal and surrounding area
The entire shooting of “Homebound” has been done in Bhopal and beautiful areas around it. The natural beauty and cultural color here has made the film’s story lively and effective. The film, made under the banner of Dharma Productions of Karan Johar, is directed by Neeraj Ghewan, and is seen in the lead characters Ishaan Khattar, Vishal Jethwa and Janhvi Kapoor.
Strength from new film policy
Madhya Pradesh’s new film Tourism Policy has made the work of filmmakers easy and attractive. The process of getting permission from the single window system has become simplified and the financial incentive has also strengthened the industry. So far, more than 350 films and web series have been shot in the state, and a grant of more than Rs 24 crore has been given. The result of this is that the state has also received the Award for “Most Film Friendly State” from the Government of India.
