Boudh: The mourning for a head of a family in Odisha took another tragic turn as his son and daughter-in-law met with an accident and died while en route to attend his last rites late on Wednesday.
The deceased have been identified as Raj Kishore Sahu and his wife Minakshi Sahu.
According to sources, the accident took place near Nuapada on Khurda-Balangir National Highway 57 when the car in which they were travelling rammed into a truck parked near Rambhikata tollgate under Boudh police limits. The couple was en route to their native village Gania in Nayagarh from Kalahandi district.
Sources added that sub-collector, BDO, Tehsildar and Additional tehsildar immediately rushed to the site and the hospital, where the couple succumbed to the injuries.
Meanwhile, police have launched an investigation to ascertain the reason behind the accident.
