Odisha Minor Rape: A case that shames relationships has come to light in Boda village of Dhusuri police station area of Bhadrak district of Odisha. Here Rishta’s grandfather committed such a heinous act with his own 13 year old minor granddaughter, which is hurting the entire district. The local police swung into action after the incident and have taken the accused Bighina Jena into custody.
When and how did this incident happen?
The incident happened on January 6 when the minor girl was playing near her house. The accused lured her to a secluded place, a cow shed, and allegedly sexually assaulted her. After the incident, he ran away from there and the girl became unconscious.
Why did the girl not tell?
Fearing death threats, the victim did not tell this to anyone at home at first. But later he told the entire incident to his family. After this the family immediately lodged a complaint with the police.
What steps did the police take?
According to Ajay Sudarshan, IIC Dhusuri, investigation was started immediately after receiving the complaint. The accused was arrested and sent forward for judicial process. Police said that the safety of children is their top priority and fast track action will be taken considering the seriousness of the matter.
