In Telangana, schools will remain closed for 13 days, from September 21 to October 3, for the Dasara break. Meanwhile, West Bengal has extended the Durga Puja holidays until October 6, with some districts affected by flood-like conditions.
In Uttar Pradesh, schools will remain closed on October 1 and 2 in observance of Dussehra and Gandhi Jayanti. Bihar has declared holidays from September 27 to October 2, with some districts extending the break until October 5 to mark Durga Puja and Navratri.
Schools across the country will usually be closed, but parents and students should still contact their schools directly to ensure that their (ward’s) school is closed on that particular day.
