O Romeo shooting location

Set against the turbulent underworld of Mumbai in the 1990s, O Romeo delves deep into the city’s grim underbelly. To maintain authenticity, the makers filmed extensively at real locations across South Mumbai. One of the key spots includes Ruhani Restaurant on Mohammed Ali Road in the Kalbadevi area, a location known for its old-world charm and bustling streets. The production team also shot sequences at a BMC school in the same locality, a building that still retains its vintage architectural character, perfectly complementing the film’s period setting.

A particularly intense scene reportedly features Tripti Dimri attempting to shoot Rahul Deshpande, adding dramatic weight to the storyline. Meanwhile, large-scale action sequences involving Shahid Kapoor and Tripti Dimri were filmed in the scenic town of Palampur, offering a striking contrast to Mumbai’s dense urban landscape.

For portions centred around Avinash Tiwary’s Spain-based character, the team travelled internationally to shoot in Ronda and La Línea de la Concepción. To complete the film’s high-octane climax, a “Mini Spain” was recreated at Vrindavan Studio and Baahubali Studio, where a dramatic showdown between Avinash Tiwary and Shahid Kapoor was filmed.

Additionally, portions of the film were shot at the historic Elephanta Caves, adding a timeless visual dimension. With its mix of real locations and elaborate sets, O Romeo promises a visually immersive cinematic experience.
