RBI is going to start a new system of check clearing from 4 October 2025. The old batch process CTS will be converted into “Continuous Clearing & Settlement on Realization”. Now as soon as the check is deposited, its scan copy will be sent immediately to the clearing house and the bank. Confirmation in the first phase till 7 pm, clear in just 3 hours in the second phase. Customers do not wait long to get money, money available in account in 1 hour of settlement.
