Now you will get food at a price like restaurant sitting at home, this new app launched!

Rapido launched food delivery service Ownly

The habit of getting food online has now become common in every city. But a complaint remains on everyone’s tongue that while ordering the price in the menu, it increases till the bill comes. Platform fees, packaging charge and tax together fall on the pocket. Now Ride-Heling Platform Rapido has tried to solve this problem. The company has launched its new standalone app only for food delivery, which claims that you will get food at the same price, which you have to pay when you go to the restaurant.

Currently, this service has been started in some areas of Bengaluru (Koramangala and HSR layout). This app is available on Google Play Store. Before the launch, the company tried it among its employees for several weeks, so that customers could get better experience from the beginning.

Food will be available for low price

The only focus of the only app is on food priced less than Rs 150. Especially North Indian food like chapatti, rice, eggs and other ordinary dishes will be available here for less than 100 rupees. The company has described it as a zero-commission platform, that is, no additional commission will be taken from the restaurant. The customer will get the benefit directly, because even after ordering online, the price will remain the same as offline.

In the initial phase, additional charge will not be added here such as platform fees, packaging costs and increased prices of online menu. To keep the price competitive, the company will currently bear some cost of delivery itself, so that customers can try the app without hesitation.

Direct account of delivery fees

Only’s delivery model is clean and easy. There is a fixed fee of Rs 20 on small orders, Rs 25 on medium and Rs 50 on big order. It is also written in the app that only GST and fixed delivery fees will be charged on orders of more than Rs 99. Initially, Rapido itself will bear some expenses, so that the price is more attractive and the customers get added.

Rapido has strong network

Rapido is already running its bike taxi service in more than 500 cities. Every month, the company already has a large network with 40 lakh rides and 3 crore monthly active users. Now this network will also be used for food delivery. This will not only reduce the delivery time, but will not have to spend additional expenses on the recruitment of new riders. The company believes that if the total cost of food is kept low, then people will be more excited to order online.

Jomato-Sweet will get a challenge

India’s food delivery market is about $ 8 billion and currently dominate Jomato and Swigi. Together, the two deliver more than 45 lakhs daily. In such an environment, only the model of online food at an offline -like price can become a new and affordable option for customers. Currently, Bengaluru has been selected as a test location. If this model was successful here, then the company is planning to start it in other cities soon.
