Now trains will not be late! Government given ₹ 24,634 crore for 4 superfast corridors, your journey will change

Railway projects worth ₹ 24,634 crore get green signal

There is a very good news for crores of travelers traveling by train in the country. The central government has taken a historic and big decision in the direction of the transparency of Indian Railways, which will not only increase the speed of trains in the coming years, as well as get rid of the endless jam on the tracks. Four very important projects of the railway have been approved in the cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

A total amount of Rs 24,634 crore will be spent on these projects, the objective of the country’s most busy. Rail Networks have to be modern and sharp. A total of 894 km long rail tracks will be upgraded under these projects, where the existing lines will be made of four or six lanes. This decision will not only make the journey of the passengers comfortable, but will also give a new pace to the country’s economy.

The picture of four states will change

Giving information about this important decision of the cabinet, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that these four projects will pass through the four states called the heart of the country- Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Chhattisgarh. A total of 18 districts of these states will get direct benefit of this mahapari plan.

  1. Wardha-Bhusaval section: This 314 km long route located in Maharashtra is an important part of the Mumbai-Howrah Corridor. Laying the third and fourth lines on this will lead to unprecedented speed in the movement of trains.
  2. Gondia-Dongargarh section: This 84-km rail section connecting Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh falls on the Mumbai-Haldia line. With the construction of the fourth line here, goods trains and passenger trains will get separate tracks, which will facilitate traffic.
  3. Vadodara-Ratlam section: This 259 km long project spread from Gujarat to Madhya Pradesh is the backbone of the Delhi-Mumbai Corridor. With the upgrade of this part, the journey to the capital will intensify.
  4. Itarsi-Bhopal-Bina Section: The fourth line will be constructed on this 237 km route in Madhya Pradesh. This is an important junction in the Delhi-Chennai road, where hundreds of trains passing through will benefit from it.

Why are these projects special?

Now the question arises that why did the government choose these four routes? Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, while explaining the reason behind this, said that these four projects are part of the seven busiest railway routes in the country, which are the most pressure. You will be surprised to know that 41 percent of the country’s goods i.e. cargo and 41 percent passenger traffic pass through these routes. Due to more trains running more than capacity on these routes, trains are often late and traffic jams remain. After the widening of these lines, it will be possible not only to run passenger trains on time, but a dedicated corridor will also be ready for goods trains. This will make it very fast and easier to deliver raw materials to industries and send finished goods to the ports.

Railways will get new life by 2031

The completion of these projects will be like the beginning of a new era for Indian Railways. When the pressure of the vehicles on the tracks is reduced, trains will be able to run at their maximum speed. This will reduce the time of travel and people will be able to reach their destination soon. Also, the average speed of freight trains will also increase, which is currently very low. The government aims to put all these projects on the ground by 2030-31.
