“Those who break the law will not be spared”

Minister Rathore said that the opposition hoped that the violence would get political benefits, but the strict and accurate action of the police destroyed their intention. He said, “People who do politics on the corpse of others, the public has now recognized them. Our policy is clear – those who break the law will not be spared and no one will be allowed to disturb the peace.”

He said that at present, the situation of Bareilly is completely normal. Markets are open, traffic is smooth and citizens are living peacefully in their homes. The police is monitoring the situation by taking vigilance.

“Police took time -time and restrained action”

Rathore, while talking in detail on the case, said that Tauqir Raza and his supporters had communicated with the administration first, but late night, a sudden crowd gathered and raised inflammatory slogans like ‘I Love Muhammad’ and ‘Sir Tan Se Juda’. The mob tried to spoil the atmosphere using brick-stone and petrol bombs. “The police acted with both restraint and strictness. If immediate action was not taken, the situation could have been serious. The police stopped the miscreants as well as saved the lives of innocent people,” Rathore said.

“There is no chaos in Yogi government, law paramount”

The minister said that the situation like 2010 will no longer be repeated in UP when there was a long curfew in Bareilly. He said that neither anarchy will be tolerated in the Yogi government, nor will those who promote communal violence be released. Petrol bombs and explosives have been recovered from the miscreants, from which they were planning to attack the police. Rathore said, “The aim of the Yogi government is only to maintain peace and protect the innocents. The people of Bareilly want peace, and the government will ensure that this peace remains at any cost.”
