Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has again offered to provide subsidized idols and religious products to small temples as part of promotion of Hindu religious activities. In this, TTD provides microphone sets, umbrellas, Shesh Vastra (sacred clothes), stones and Panchdhatu idols to Hindu temples at concessional rates, so that Sanatan Dharma can be promoted and small temples can get the necessary materials.

This supply could be subsidized up to 90% (for SC/ST temples) and up to 50% (for Backward and Other Categories), including deep discounts on audio systems, and is a step towards empowering the temple management.

Actually, TTD will provide microphones, umbrellas, remaining clothes, stones and Panchdhatu idols to Hindu temples at concessional rates. The cost of a microphone set is Rs 25,000. SC/ST applicants from Andhra Pradesh are eligible for 90% subsidy and need to submit a demand draft of Rs 2,500 only. Applicants from other categories are eligible for 50% subsidy and will have to pay Rs 12,500.

TTD will provide umbrellas worth Rs 14,500 to eligible Hindu temples, irrespective of category, at 50% subsidy i.e. Rs 7,250. Documents required for this:

  • applicant’s aadhar card
  • photo of temple
  • Demand letter of ₹7,250

remaining clothes

  • TTD will provide the remaining clothes to Hindu temples free of cost. Documents required for this:
  • Temple’s request letter addressed to TTD Executive Officer
  • Recommendation letter from local Tehsildar/Assistant Commissioner, Endowment Department

Stone and Panchdhatu Sculptures

Stone Statues: Stone statues of Sri Venkateshwara Swamy and Sri Padmavathi Ammavaru up to 5 feet will be provided free of cost. A subsidy of 75% will be given on stone idols of other gods and goddesses, for which 25% of the cost will have to be paid. In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, SC/ST beneficiaries will get stone idols free of cost.

Panchaloha Statues: In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, SC/ST beneficiaries will get Panchaloha idols with a subsidy of 90%. Other categories will get these statues with a subsidy of 75%.

special provisions

Stone idols of Goddess Saraswati will be given to educational institutions approved by the Ministry of Psychology/Department Administration with a subsidy of 50%. Idols of various Gods and Goddesses will be provided to monasteries, trusts and ashrams with a subsidy of 50%.
