BHIM App has started a new and convenient feature, through which you can make payment only through your fingerprint or face lock. This facility has been specially introduced to make small transactions faster and easier.
Now users can make UPI payment up to Rs 5,000 without entering PIN. As you make payment, all you need to do is use your phone’s fingerprint or face recognition. This makes the payment process faster than before and eliminates the need to enter the PIN again and again.
Everyday tasks will become easier
This feature is very helpful for those who make many small payments throughout the day, like scanning QR codes at shops, sending money to friends or family or shopping online. Now there will be no hassle of entering PIN every time, which will save time and the experience will also be better.
Security was also taken care of
Many people have a question in their mind, is it safe? So the answer is-yes. Fingerprint and face data is different for every person and this data remains safe in your mobile device only. This makes it very difficult for someone else to misuse your account. However, UPI PIN will still be required to send amounts more than Rs 5,000, so that security is maintained.
To start using this facility, you will have to go to BHIM app and open your profile. There you have to select your bank account and turn on the option of biometric transaction. Once the setup is complete, you can easily make payments with fingerprint or face lock.
