Uttar Pradesh Society Registration Law: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has intensified preparations to implement the new Society Registration Act. In this, emphasis will be laid on transparency, accountability, property safety, online registration and quick disposal of disputes.

UP New Society Registration Act 2025: The Yogi government is going to take big steps to bring transparency in the operation and management of the institutions of Uttar Pradesh. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has indicated that the new Society Registration Act will be implemented in the state soon. This law will replace the old Act of 1860 and its aim is to reduce disputes in institutions, ensure transparent management of assets and establish a strong system of accountability.

Why is the new Act important?

The Chief Minister said that the current Act lacks clear provisions of transparency and accountability. There are many flaws in registration, renewal and property management of institutions. Arrangements like disintegration of passive and suspected institutions, security of assets, financial discipline and disposal of electoral disputes are weak in the current law. In such a situation, the Yuganukul Act is required.

Ban on sale of properties, resolution of disputes

In the meeting, the Chief Minister said that the trust or the society, concrete system is necessary to stop the arbitrariness of some people. He clarified that in the event of dispute, the appointment of the administrator is not the right solution, but the management committee should take a decision according to its legislation.

Online and KYC based procedure

The new Act will emphasize on making the process of registration and renewal completely online and KYC based. There is also a preparation to further strengthen the audit system to bring transparency in financial transactions.

More than eight lakh institutions will benefit

The Chief Minister said that more than eight lakh institutions are currently registered in the state, which are working in areas like education, health, rural development, social harmony, industry and sports. The new law will increase transparency in their operation and will further encourage social utility works.
