Tamim Iqbal: Bangladesh Cricket Board has got a new president. The command of BCB has been given to former cricketer and highest run scorer for Bangladesh, Tamim Iqbal. Bangladesh government dismissed Aminul Islam from the post and now Tamim Iqbal will work for the betterment of Bangladesh cricket. Let us tell you that Aminul Islam has been removed following the recommendation of the five-member inquiry committee. Recently, Bangladesh cricket had suffered a lot under his leadership. The Bangladesh cricket team was excluded from the T20 World Cup 2026 by the ICC because the BCB had refused to send the team to India.
Tamim Iqbal got the responsibility
Tamim Iqbal is only 37 years old and he is the youngest president in the history of BCB. Tamim Iqbal is going to lead the 11-member ad-hoc committee which also includes former Bangladesh captain Minhajul Abedin and famous TV commentator Athar Ali Khan. Other members of the committee are Rashna Imam, Mirza Yasir Abbas, Syed Ibrahim Ahmed, Israfil Khasru, Tanzeel Choudhary, Salman Isfahani, Rafiqul Islam and Faheem Sinha.
Tamim Iqbal is a supporter of India
Tamim Iqbal is also considered a supporter of the Indian cricket team. Tamim Iqbal is one of the few players who had advised the Bangladesh Cricket Board that they should send the Bangladeshi team to the T20 World Cup but the BCB did not listen to him. The news of Tamim Iqbal becoming the president was already widespread and hence talks started between BCB and BCCI. It is believed that the Indian team can tour Bangladesh in August, which is sure to bring huge financial benefits to BCB.

In ODI, this player scored 8357 runs on the basis of 14 centuries. In T20 also, Tamim has scored 1758 runs with the help of one century and 7 half-centuries. Tamim has scored a total of 45 centuries in his professional cricket. Tamim has scored the most runs and most centuries for Bangladesh.
