Adani Power Bihar Project: Adani Power announced a 25 -year agreement with the Bihar government to set up a 2400 MW ultra super critical plant in Pirpainti, Bhagalpur. An investment of $ 3 billion will ensure more than 15 thousand employment and permanent power supply.
A historic agreement has been reached towards meeting Bihar’s energy needs. Adaani Power Limited (APL) has signed a 25 -year Power Supply Agreement (PSA) for 2400 MW power supply with Bihar State Electricity Generation Corporation Limited (BSPGCL). This plant will be set up in Pirpainti of Bhagalpur district, which will give the state a new strength of energy security.
An investment of $ 3 billion, 800 MW × 3 unit plant
This Greenfield Ultra Super Critical Power Plant will be invested around $ 3 billion. The plant will be developed under the design, build, finance, on and operator models. Adani Power achieved this project at the lowest rate of ₹ 6.075 per unit.

New employment opportunities, projects will be completed in 60 months
This project will provide direct and indirect employment to 10,000 to 12,000 people during the construction phase. About 3,000 permanent employment will also be available after the plant starts. This will prove to be a milestone not only for power generation but also for local development.
The goal of Adani Power is that this huge plant should be completely operational within 60 months. The project has received coal links under the Shakti policy of the Government of India for the supply of coal, so that its energy supply will be long term.
Big step towards making Bihar self -reliant
Till now Bihar has to buy large amounts of electricity from other states. After the introduction of this new plant, Bihar will not only get stable power supply but the state will also be strong in the direction of energy self -reliance.
