Chief Justice Br Gavai: The shoe was thrown on the Chief Justice (CJI) BR Gawai of India on Monday morning. A lawyer named Rakesh Kishore tried to kill CJI with a shoe. Taking action in this regard, the Bar Council of India has suspended Rakesh Kishore’s license with immediate effect. Now he will not be able to step into the Supreme Court as a lawyer.

Rakesh Kishore has been banned from advocating in any court across the country till further disciplinary action. A show show cause notice will be issued, in which the advocate will have to respond within 15 days of receiving the order, in which it will have to be explained why the suspension should not be continued and further action should be taken.

A show cause notice has been given against Rakesh Kishore. They have been asked to respond within 15 days. The lawyer has been asked why their suspension should not be continued. Why further action should not be taken against them.

The Delhi Bar Council has been directed to implement the order without any delay. This includes updating the status of the lawyer to its official list and informing all the courts and tribunals coming under their jurisdiction.
